The Janitorial Supervisor oversees daily custodial operations, ensuring quality cleaning services, workplace safety, and effective staff performance. This position provides leadership, training, and support to employees, including individuals with significant disabilities, helping them develop workplace skills and achieve professional growth while maintaining a positive and productive work environment.


What You Will Do

  • Plan, direct, and coordinate daily janitorial activities to meet operational goals and quality standards.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure cleanliness and compliance with established standards.
  • Monitor equipment condition, identify maintenance needs, and report issues to the Project Manager.
  • Identify supply and equipment needs and submit requests for approval.
  • Train employees on cleaning procedures, equipment operation, and workplace safety.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to employees while promoting teamwork and professional development.
  • Identify training needs and coordinate staff development opportunities.
  • Participate in employee interviews and provide hiring recommendations.
  • Address attendance concerns, review leave requests, and provide employee feedback.
  • Conduct regular staff meetings to discuss assignments, priorities, and inspection results.
  • Work with Employment Services to support employee program plans and appropriate accommodations.
  • Resolve workplace concerns and escalate issues to management when necessary.
  • Maintain required documentation and complete all Didlake training.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures.
