Medica's Supervisor, Provider Demographics is responsible for leading, training, and coaching teams that support provider contract implementation, demographics, credentialing, and audit activities. This role oversees staff accountable for loading provider contracts and data accurately and on time across all systems to ensure accurate claims payment, regulatory compliance, and reliable provider directory and search functionality.

This position plays a critical role in maintaining provider data integrity and driving operational improvements through process enhancement, system optimization, and audit oversight. The supervisor collaborates closely with internal business partners and external stakeholders to support compliance, operational excellence, and continuous improvement across Provider Network Operations. Performs other duties assigned.

Key Accountabilities



  • Lead and develop Provider Demographics teams through hiring, training, performance management, and ongoing coaching
  • Ensure timely and accurate loading of provider demographic data across systems
  • Establish and monitor productivity, quality, and compliance standards
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and represent Provider Demographics in cross functional and vendor partnerships
  • Address escalated operational and compliance issues and implement corrective actions
  • Drive process improvements through automation, system enhancements, and workflow optimization
  • Partner with IT, business leaders, and external stakeholders to support operational and enterprise initiatives
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, audit standards, and internal policies


Required Qualifications



  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience in related field
  • 2+ years of relevant working experience
  • 1+ years of supervisory experience


Preferred Qualifications



  • Healthcare industry experience preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven leadership, coaching, and mentoring capabilities
  • Strategic and analytical mindset with strong attention to detail
  • Experience with project management and process improvement initiatives
  • Ability to identify trends and clearly communicate insights
  • Experience or familiarity with healthcare systems such as COPIS, COSMOS, HealthRules, DataNet, and/or Symfact preferred


The full salary grade for this position is $70,200 - $120,400. While the full salary grade is provided, the typical hiring salary range for this role is expected to be between $70,200 - $105,315. Annual salary range placement will depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, education, work experience, applicable certifications and/or licensure, the position's scope and responsibility, internal pay equity and external market salary data.
