Assistant Manager Retail Operations

Position Summary

Adidas is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Manager, Retail Operations to support the standardization and maintenance of back-office operating procedures within the House of Retail. This role will play a critical part in ensuring consistency, accuracy, and efficiency across retail operations by assisting in the development, documentation, and continuous improvement of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). The ideal candidate will have a strong operational mindset, excellent organizational skills, and a passion for driving retail excellence.

Key Responsibilities

SOP Documentation & Maintenance



  • Assist in the creation, documentation, and revision of back-office Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure alignment with Adidas' retail operational standards.
  • Support the regular review and update of SOPs to reflect changes in business processes, system enhancements, and compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders, including Retail Operations, Finance, IT, and Compliance, to ensure SOPs are comprehensive and effectively implemented.



Operational Support & Compliance



  • Monitor adherence to established SOPs within the House of Retail and support the identification of process improvement opportunities.
  • Assist in conducting audits and assessments to evaluate process effectiveness and compliance.
  • Provide recommendations to enhance operational efficiency and ensure consistency across all retail back-office functions.



Training & Implementation Support



  • Assist in developing training materials and resources to educate store teams on SOPs.
  • Work closely with Retail Training teams to integrate SOPs into onboarding and continuous learning programs.
  • Act as a resource for store teams, providing guidance and support in implementing back-office processes.



Technology & Process Optimization



  • Support the integration of technology and digital tools to enhance back-office efficiency.
  • Assist in identifying automation opportunities to streamline operational workflows.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and support process enhancements within retail operations.

Qualifications & Skills



  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum 2-4 years of experience in retail operations, process management, or a similar role or equivalent combination of education and experience accepted
  • Strong understanding of retail store operations, inventory management, and financial procedures.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and familiarity with retail management systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic retail environment.
  • Experience with SharePoint a plus!
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time within North America
