- Estimated hourly rate: $41.01 (minimum) - $51.25 (midpoint) - $61.49 (maximum)

Are you ready to make your mark? If you're a Tool Designer, we have an exciting opportunity for you. The position supports production from a technical standpoint and has an excellent understanding of the product being produced in the area. The position is consulted by engineering regarding new product and process implementation. It solves difficult manufacturing problems and works with members to implement process and product improvements.
What You Will Be Doing
- Design and develop tools that meet the specific needs of the organization
- Create detailed drawings and models using computer-aided design (CAD) software
- Collaborate with engineers, production managers, and machinists to identify design requirements and develop solutions
- Implement design changes based on feedback and testing data
- Manage projects from start to finish, ensuring that all design and production requirements are met
- Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in tool and fixture design and technology
- Work with vendors and production team members during the fixture manufacturing process
What We Are Looking For
- U.S. associate degree, 2-year technical degree or international equivalent preferred.
- U.S. High School Diploma or international equivalent required.
- 5+ Years Experience in tool and fixture design or a related field, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Proficient in computer-aided design (CAD) software (Preferably Creo)
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Occasional travel may be required. Certificate or degree in a six sigma or special process preferred.
- Automation Specific: 1. Strong knowledge of applicable automated or semi-automated manufacturing processes and equipment and 2. Proven ability to access programming controls to create and modify logic code statements to solve problems, increase efficiency or reduce scrap
- Machining Specific: 1. Strong knowledge of applicable machining processes including Computer Numeric Controls (CNC) programming, 2. Strong interpretation of specifications and participation in hardware disposition and 3. Strong knowledge of cutting tools and machine capability
- Manufacturing & Assembly Specific: 1. Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and/or design/training/implementation of processes including setup/programming/training for tooling, fixturing, assembly equipment, and manufacturing aids and 2. Strong interpretation of specifications and participation in hardware disposition
