The UNM Medical Group, Inc. Ambulatory Surgical Center is seeking a Full-time Staff Registered Nurse (RN) to provide nursing services in an outpatient operating room and recovery setting. This position will provide nursing coverage for pre-operative, OR and recovery. In this role, the ideal candidate is ACLS/PALS certified and is comfortable with providing airway maneuvers to adults and pediatric patients recovering from anesthesia. The RN will take part in the anesthesia team duties and will be asked to place IV catheters on adults and pediatric patients. This role does require some clinic administrative duties. This ASC is a AAAHC Accredited site which adheres to the highest standard of patient care and quality. This position will require gaining knowledge of regulatory standards in an OR setting and supporting these standards with providers and staff. Minimum $75,670 - Midpoint $96,439* *Salary is determined based on years of total relevant experience. *Salary is based on 1.0 FTE (full time equivalent) or 40 hours per week. Less than 40 hours/week will be prorated and adjusted to the appropriate FTE. Summary: Provides safe, direct patient care utilizing established nursing processes in a dental ambulatory surgical center. RN ensures adherence to all standards, organizational policies, procedures and guidelines, and establishes goals and priorities in accordance with patient and staff needs and organizational objectives. Serves as a practice resource and educator for patients and staff. Patient care assignments may include all age groups. Management experience in a medical setting is preferred. Minimum Job Requirements of a Staff RN - Dental Ambulatory Surgical Center: Associate degree in nursing with 1 year of nursing experience. Licensed Registered Nurse in the State of New Mexico. Completed degree from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis. Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Life Support (PALS) Certification.
