Mission

Ensure obtention and quality progress performance in their area of responsibility (BU or groups of BUs)

Stay updated on and implement standard methodologies in their area of responsibility.

Key encouraged achievements

For the area of responsibility (BU or groups of BUs):

  • Delivered products are aligned with quality planning models and are manufactured in alignment with obtention standards. Sound MMW practices are applied.
  • Quality and efficiency performances align with goals set by the shop. Right the first time principles are applied.
  • Customer risks, product compliance, and quality performance risks are anticipated. Actions to reduce risks are implemented.
  • All complaints, nonconformities, nonstandard situations, and performance shifts are processed appropriately.
  • Demonstrated efficiency of implemented actions.
  • Causes of anomalies and nonperformance are resolved and are input into the progress plan.
  • The Quality Obtention section of the Progress Plan has been completed. They contribute to its definition.
  • Assist all operators in developing key job proficiencies (mentoring, training, etc.)
Other core tasks
  • Support and or lead shop quality improvement projects.
  • Implement shop Process Quality control by applying Total Process Control/Variation Reduction (MTP/VR).
  • Support risk analysis using data collection with the appropriate software and tools.
  • Perform material industrialization studies on new rubber compounds.
  • Facilitate group problem solving to find the root cause (Boucle Courte, BibSolve, BibSolve+).
Preferred qualifications
  • Bachelor's or associate degree in an engineering field, or equivalent technical major is preferred but not required.
  • Validated use of computer skills including experience with digital tools like Power BI, OSI PI, SolidWorks, and PowerApps.
  • Understanding of Process capability and statistical tools and how to apply them to meet customer specifications.
  • Understanding of Root Cause Analysis and Problem-Solving tools.
  • Very strong in analytical problem-solving.
