Your Role on the Team

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Interviewing and screening patients for admission to UCI medical facilities.
  • Insurance verification and pre-authorizations.
  • Maintaining medical records and patient demographics.
  • Patient scheduling and re-scheduling.
  • Answering patient phone calls; handling multi-line calls.

$22.12/hour (within range of $22.12/hour - $24.39/hour).

Required:

  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Data entry experience.
  • Experience using electronic medical records (EMS) systems.
  • Experience working in customer service environments.
  • 1-3 years of general clerical experience or completion of vocational training in the medical front office field.
  • Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions in English.

Preferred:

  • Experience working in a medical setting for one year or more.
  • Experience with EPIC EMR system.
  • Knowledge of healthcare insurances.
  • Experience with billing.
