Reporting into the VP, Communications at HID, the Senior Manager, Public Relations will be responsible for overseeing HID's global PR program, strategy, and budget, as well as directly managing PR efforts for HID in the North America region (NAM). This role will directly manage two internal regional PR Managers and will manage all public relations activities in NAM, including building corporate PR plans and content; the creation of strategic communications plans that are aligned with the company's campaign framework; and the development of timely, solution-oriented content for campaigns.

This position will work closely with marketing leadership across HID's six Business Areas, as well as a variety of internal subject matter experts to execute successful public relations programs globally, including vertical market, solutions-oriented PR, thought leadership and media relations.

The role requires strong leadership skills, the ability to collaboratively manage an internal PR team and external agencies, strong client management capabilities, and a track record of demonstrated success as part of a dynamic communications and/or marketing team with the ability to adapt quickly in a changing environment.

As ourSenior Manager, Public Relations, you'll support HID's successby:




  • Overseeing HID's entire Public Relations program, including the creation of global PR and thought leadership strategy, global PR messages and campaigns for use regionally and locally, media targets and distribution outlets
  • Serving as primary point of contact and "client manager" for HID's PR program with a variety of global stakeholders across HID's six Business Areas
  • Directly managing internal regional PR Managers, providing guidance and support to execute PR strategies at the regional level that drive quality coverage and build thought leadership globally
  • Developing comprehensive public relations plans, which include media relations, article placements, securing interviews and speaking engagements, media events, and to accompany and support campaign framework initiatives, product launches and segment marketing initiatives
  • Overseeing and managing HID's PR budget, including global agencies and other consultants
  • Building constructive relationships with target editors and journalists, serving as primary media contact for HID globally
  • Developing global PR content that is relevant, timely and impactful in growing HID's brand awareness, thought leadership, and share of voice
  • Managing the NAM PR program, including tactical elements like agency management, media relations, content creation, and media pitching efforts
  • Overseeing global PR reporting on a monthly/quarterly basis.

YourExperienceand Education include:




  • 7+ years public relations experience required and must be an experienced manager of PR programs.
  • Experience working with and managing relationships with external agencies and 3rd party vendors, with responsibility for budgets and achieving regional PR objectives.
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in communications, journalism or marketing discipline.
  • Experience in business-to-business (B2B) preferred.
  • Experience in technology PR a plus.
  • Experience managing PR within a campaign framework highly desired.
  • Requires strong communication skills, quick thinking and the ability to work well under pressure and tight deadlines along with solid verbal communication skills.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Willingness to research, learn and implement new PR tactics, strategies, processes and systems.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office.
