What this job involves:

Oversees the I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification process for all new hires and rehires which includes review of all I-9 forms and acceptable identification documents for accuracy and compliance within established time requirements.
Train JBS team on I-9 processes and supports escalations from the team
Generates and analyzes system reports to track company compliance with federal I-9 regulations.
Monitors employees who need to be re-verified and coordinates re-verification process with divisional contacts to ensure that expired document(s) are in accordance with legal requirements.
Responsible for resolving incomplete E-Verify cases and ensuring appropriate parties properly follow the I-9 and E-Verify processes to ensure compliance with federal laws and coordinates with appropriate parties as needed.
Must remain current on immigration and I-9 regulations and assists in updating and building processes as necessary.
Provides proactive customer service to clients, ensuring an efficient, well-managed process from end-to-end.
Monitors workflow at each step, ensures completion and required approvals are in place; identifies roadblocks and follows through to resolution.
May require country, region or subject matter expertise to perform role.
As directed, provides analytical support for assigned process or solution and reporting
Follow up with clients to rectify missing or unclear data, signatory authorities, etc. Significant interaction across all HR COEs, advisors and process areas.
Serve as an escalation point for all I9 compliance issues, providing advice and support on issues which may be more complex or non-routine in nature, and which require additional consideration.
May complete tactical activities assigned by more senior professionals in response to strategic directives for process improvement.
Escalates observations to appropriate staff, reoccurring data quality problems and possible solutions for manager/HRIS/JLLT

Bachelor's degree with a major/minor or emphasis in HR or another relevant field is required
Must have minimum 1-3 years of HR experience
Experience using data and/or analytics to arrive outcomes
Experience supporting both senior level executives and a dispersed hourly population is desired
Evidence of business acumen with proven results in influencing and advising managers and leaders at all levels who are both virtual and local
Desire to succeed in a fast-paced, matrixed, ever-changing environment
Ability to thrive in ambiguity - Can navigate through a complex, multi-faceted organization with multiple stakeholders
Creative problem solver in a sometimes resource constrained environment
Self-starter, results-oriented, and motivated professional
Continuous improvement mindset
Computer proficiency skills in Excel, Power Point, and other Office suite applications
Experience with Workday, Service Now, I-9s/E-Verify and Equifax, is preferred
