Job Title: System Performance Engineer

Location(s): Orlando, FL

Targeted Years of Experience: 7-10 years

Responsibilities:



  • Responsible for collecting and using hourly and daily service measurement data to optimize the LTE network.
  • Representing the team for feature related projects, new node integration, and other centralized tasks by meeting deliverables and holding other parties accountable per project plan.
  • Troubleshooting hardware and performance problems independently or by coordinating with other teams.
  • Supporting Network Performance in evaluating and improving areas of poor coverage by identifying system performance problems.
  • Reporting issues to appropriate engineers.
  • Resolving customer service issues, assisting in implementing solutions, and collecting drive test data in support of performance evaluations and build program prioritization.


MUST HAVE SKILLS (Most Important):



  • Diagnostic messaging collection with application like QXDM and understanding of what log masks to apply for desired message collection.
  • Post processing and analysis of drive test data using tools like Actix Analyzer and/or TEMS.
  • Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.


DESIRED SKILLS:



  • Knowledge in MapInfo, Google Earth, ArcGIS, or other relevant geographic information system.
  • First hand experience using packet capture software like Wireshark or Netscout.
  • Experience in finding interference sources using spectrum analyzer and directional antennas.
  • Experience integrating and optimizing Ericsson LTE eNB/gNB.


EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS:



  • College degree preferred but not required with relevant work experience.
