Senior Financial Analyst, Business Planning and Support

JOB SUMMARY

As the Senior Financial Analyst, Business Planning and Support, you will support financial management and reporting, including preparation and monitoring of budgets, analyzing, and reporting financial information, and financial decision support for initiatives, policies, and procedures. In addition, you will identify, summarize, and report on financial trends.

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS

1. Analyze historical and current financial data to understand the company's financial status
2. Evaluate capital expenditures and depreciation
3. Develop predictive financial models to support organizational decision making
4. Analyze processes to identify gaps that can improve profit margins
5. Establish benchmarks for financial processes
6. Track current financial data to alert stakeholders in case of deviation
7. Study industry-specific research and available data to predict trends
8. Create reports and analysis that enable management teams to make strategic decisions to meet business goals
9. Develop and/or utilize forecasting tools to automate financial data analysis

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

1. Bachelor's degree, preferably with a major in finance, economics or statistics
2. Proven experience working as a financial analyst
3. Proven excellent proficiency in spreadsheets, databases and financial software applications
4. Excellent reporting, presenting and communication skills
5. Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
6. Ability to work with large datasets
7. Strategic thinking and organizational skills
8. Demonstrated analytical and financial modeling skills
