As part of a hardworking team of diverse facilities specialists, technicians, and engineers, you will play a critical role in the daily operations and maintenance of our state-of-the-art HVAC and other environmental control systems. With nearly 2M square feet of buildings and 500 acres of property and associated utilities, you will not only be responsible for the HVAC and their associated controls, but also in responding to trouble calls where your skills may also apply.

We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Passion for our mission and vision is required!

Responsibilities:

  • Operating equipment and heavy machinery.
  • Loading and unloading building materials.
  • Painting traffic control lines.
  • Performing roadside landscaping including clearing weeds and trimming trees
  • Sweeping debris from surfaces and structures
  • Spreading sand, asphalt and gravel to build and maintain surfaces
  • Cleaning and repairing drainage systems
  • Operates a variety of hand and power tools to clear debris
  • Removes debris and other safety hazards from roads, culverts, storm drains, and adjacent public areas
  • Assists with replacing lawn mower blades, replacing heads on string trimmers, and sharpening and changing chainsaw blades.
  • Assists with maintaining grounds and fields by planting sod and grass seed, mowing, safely applying appropriate fertilizers, and watering as needed
  • Assists with maintaining trees, shrubs, and flower beds by planting, pruning, trimming, removing weeds, and safely applying appropriate herbicides.
  • Assists with cleaning facilities, grounds, streets, courts, walkways, beaches, fields, and project sites, including picking up trash, clearing debris, and moving refuse to appropriate areas.
  • Always maintains a clean work environment.
  • Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.

  • Good level of physical fitness

  • Excellent communication and listening skills
  • Awareness of health and safety
  • Ability to operate heavy and light road equipment
  • Strong understanding of safety policies, procedures, and practices
  • Ability to operate and maintain hand and power tools
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Use good judgment to make sound and reasonable decisions
  • Ability to perform a wide variety of duties and responsibilities with accuracy and speed under the pressure of time-sensitive deadlines
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Benefits

Benefits include: Medical, dental, vision, basic and supplemental life insurance, paid parental leave, short and long-term disability, 401(k) with a company match of up to 5%, and an Education Support Program.

Paid Time Off: Up to four (4) weeks per year based on weekly scheduled hours, and up to 14 company-paid holidays.

Discretionary bonus: Bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
