Nurse Practitioner - Physician Assistant - Nephrology Winchester, VA MUST: Experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Current and Valid Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant License in the State of Virginia Certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant by a recognized national certifying body Nephrology Experience (preferred) DUTIES: Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with kidney conditions, including history taking, physical examinations, and interpretation of diagnostic tests. Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with nephrologists and other healthcare team members. Monitor and manage patients with chronic kidney disease, end-stage renal disease, and those undergoing dialysis. Prescribe medications, treatments, and therapies as appropriate. Educate patients and their families about kidney disease, treatment options, and lifestyle modifications. Perform and assist with procedures such as catheter placements and renal biopsies. Coordinate care with other healthcare professionals, including dietitians, social workers, and primary care providers. Quadrant is an affirmative action/equal opportunity employer.
