Material Handling Technician

Air Products is looking for a Material Handling Technician in St. Louis, MO. As a member of the Supply Chain Management team, this position will be responsible for movement of raw material/component and finished goods inventories, preparing products for customer orders, loading/unloading trucks, and other tasks to support the team's functions.

Required Skills / Abilities:

  • Basic computer skills. Microsoft Office and SAP experience preferred
  • Good overall communication skills
  • Must be able to operate a fork truck in very close quarters
  • Able to work in a team environment

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Stock incoming materials in Stores and point-of-use (POU) locations
  • Assist in Kanban management, stock rotation, Kanban card and bin management
  • Package products for shipment
  • Load/unload trucks using forklift
  • General housekeeping and safety tasks in the area
  • Inspect / clean / prepare modules for customer orders
  • Assist with management of boxed/crated inventory to fulfill customer orders
  • Assist with finished goods and component cycle counts
  • General housekeeping and safety tasks in the area
  • Complete inventory movements within SAP

Minimum Hiring Requirements:

  • High school or equivalent education
