Farnsworth Group is seeking a Commissioning Specialist in our Colorado Springs, Greenwood Village (Denver Tech Center), or Fort Collins, CO office. In this role, you will be able to share your skills, collaborate, and solve some of our clients' toughest problems with our national commissioning team. This is a great opportunity for an engineer looking to develop their career in the field of commissioning and sustainable consulting.
Job Activities:


  • Support multiple commissioning/retro-commissioning projects
  • Perform and assist with energy audits
  • Assist with mechanical, electrical, plumbing and envelope systems


Specific Requirements include:


  • Associates or Technical Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a building controls related degree. Bachelor's Degree, preferred
  • 3-10 years of experience in a technical consulting field such as facility design, engineering, construction management or related area
  • Facilities design or building commissioning experience, preferred
  • LEED Green Associate or Accredited Professional, preferred
  • Experience with monitoring-based commissioning software (i.e. CopperTree, SkyFoundry), preferred
  • Strong verbal, written and organizational skills
  • Strong skillset with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Ability to travel up to 30% annually
