Job Description

Primary Purpose:Supervises and administers the material procurement function for a fleet of locomotives.

Principal Duties:

* Oversees office staff functions for the maintenance of all locomotive records required by the FRA and the Corporation, for evaluation of locomotive maintenance practices, and recovery of warranty claims.

* Supervises ordering, storage, and usage of material to optimize turns and inventory.

* Handles all storehouse documentation such as requisitions, invoices, accounting entries, etc.

* Supervises handling of locomotive warranty material in its removal and disposition with the manufacturer.

Job Related Experience:

* Minimum Level: 1-2 years

* Preferred Level: 3-5 years

Education:

* Preferred Level: Bachelor's Degree (BA)

* Preferred Majors: Business Administration and Management

Skills:

* Proficiency in Microsoft Suite

* Excellent communication skills

* Attention to detail and highly organized

* Leadership experience with the ability to handle conflict and foster a positive work environment

* Ability to promote a culture of safety awareness and accident prevention.

* Ability to relocate and work flexible days/hours as determined by business needs

* Identifies opportunities for continuous improvement
