Every professional wants to work for an industry leader. Now is your chance as Hearth & Home Technologies is hiring a Site Controller/Finance Leader in Halifax, PA. This position will be the finance leader for both the Halifax, PA and Randolph, VT facility.

An effective Site Controller at Hearth and Home Technologies sees the business as a series of integrated and interlocking processes and values outcomes and accomplishments. They understand the general business concepts and are able to see and articulate the system-wide impact of decisions being made by business leaders. Using their unique Finance expertise and perspective, they help leaders make good business decisions by partnering with them to plan, formulate, and take action within the framework of Hearth & Home's Technologies overall strategic intent.

Role Responsibilities

  • Complete understanding of facility financials to provide decision making guidance to plant leadership.

  • Sharing information in support of achieving key performance indicators.

  • Assist in setting short- & long-term strategy for facility

  • Drive alignment of HHT/HNI strategic initiatives with respect to stakeholder group by partnering with business leaders to plan, make decisions, and take action within the framework of HHT's overall strategic intent.

  • Participate in strategic direction and policy deployment in the areas of quality, cost reduction, complete and on-time delivery, safety, customer satisfaction, member relations, and plant performance measures.

  • Act with the future in mind by considering future impact when weighing decisions and they constantly think in terms of expanding the business, always looking for new ways to grow and achieve competitive advantage. Interface with VP/GM and facility peers on operating results and trends of the business that positively impact decision making.

  • Demonstrate skill at directing, persuading and motivating others to commit to action and flexing leadership style to direct, collaborate or empower as the situation requires to effectively use presence, confidence and style.

  • Demonstrate courage to readily offer opinions and take action even when their position may be unpopular; be willing to challenge others appropriately when required and demonstrate self-confidence and trust in their own judgment.

  • Guarantee exceptional quality and necessary attention to detail by leading accounting processes to assure timely and accurate financial management reports, analysis and statistical statements including, but not limited to, monthly financial statements, variance reports, annual budgets and audits. Responsibilities include, but not limited to, budgeting, inventory, fixed asset management, accounts payable, and profit optimization.

  • Leverage strengths of the current team members, help to clarify roles and responsibilities and implement a training program in order to maximize and reach optimal individual and organizational goals. Build talent in the finance function.

  • Continually seek to improve processes and products and hold others accountable for quality (RCI/BPI activities, MI Ideas, etc.)

  • Drive and practice safety awareness (JSA, LOTO, Certified Safe Member, 6S practices)

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration or related field and Minimum 5 years' exposure in various aspects of accounting (cost accounting, financial reporting, auditing, general ledger, SOX compliance, etc.), or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Minimum 5 years' management experience with strong leadership, coaching, communication, interpersonal, problem-solving and organizational skills.

  • Thorough knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, technical terminology and developments. These include variance calculations, inventory values, cost of goods produced, timekeeping, accounts receivable/payable, etc.

  • Must be computer literate, particularly in accounting software, spreadsheets, shop floor control, production planning, and inventory control and project management applications.

  • Must lead via both influence and direct management to achieve results in a timely manner.
