What this job involves:
As a Custodian at JLL, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and order in our facilities. You'll play a crucial role in ensuring a safe, healthy, and pleasant environment for employees, clients, and visitors. This position requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Your day-to-day tasks will include: * Cleaning and sanitizing offices, common areas, restrooms, and other spaces * Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors * Emptying trash bins and recycling containers * Dusting furniture, fixtures, and equipment * Restocking supplies in restrooms and break areas * Performing basic maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs * Reporting any damages, repairs needed, or safety hazards to the facility manager * Assisting with setup and teardown for meetings or events as needed Desired experience and technical skills: Requirements: * Previous experience in custodial or janitorial work preferred * Knowledge of cleaning techniques and safety procedures * Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds * Excellent time management and organizational skills * Strong attention to detail * Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, or weekends as needed Preferred: * Experience with green cleaning practices * Basic computer skills for communication and record-keeping * Knowledge of OSHA standards and safety regulations * Multilingual abilities, particularly in languages common to the local area | |
