JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The Office of Career Solutions and Corporate Engagement in the College of Information Sciences and Technology is seeking candidates for Part-Time Career Ambassador positions. These part-time, student positions will have multifaceted responsibilities in the following areas:

• Career Services Support

• • Assist students with resume reviews, career planning, job search strategies.

• Event Assistance

• • Career Related Workshops, career fairs and tabling events.
  • Potential to participate in classroom presentation.

• Student Engagement and Outreach

• • Assist in marketing content to engage students.

• Administrative and Strategic Support

• • Data collection and entry

This is a part-time position working up to 10 hours per week with a starting rate of $15/hour. Work hours take place between 9:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m. on weekdays with some evening or weekend hours to assist with special events.Candidates must submit a cover letter and resume.

Note: This position will NOT meet the requirements for the IST 495 internship.

• Are pursuing a degree in the College of IST.
• Have previous internship/co-op/research experience.

• Previous experience in leadership roles, event planning or peer mentoring is a

Candidates must be available to work possible weekends. Employment with the University will require successful completion of background check(s) in accordance with University policies.
