The Principal Enterprise Architect will act as a Senior technology generalist. The ideal candidate should possess the following key attributes:



  • Ability to architect technology solutions that drive and support strategic business processes, ensuring the solutions are comprehensive, robust, scalable, and aligned around core business needs
  • Desire to share EA's vision to bring technology thought leadership and build collaborative relationships with business and IT teams based on integrity and clarity of purpose.
  • Advocates for the reduction of technical debt associated with specific business outcomes
  • Evaluates and recommends technologies that solve business challenges, enhance customer experiences, and drive competitive advantage
  • Actively collaborates and communicates across the BFS organization; acts as a technology evangelist, innovator and change agent



This role requires interaction at multiple levels, including working with frontline teams, corporate representatives, IT owners and BFS leadership. Ideal candidate will be focused across all layers of technology including solution, application, cloud, data and security architectures. This person is also responsible for technical mentoring other EA team and IT peers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Contribute to and execute on IT strategy to ensure alignment with the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Maintain a holistic view of the organization's strategy, processes, information, and technology assets.
  • Leads architectural efforts for large and complex projects (e.g., a project module or existing technology map review) or complex components of projects
  • Designs and implements short and long-term strategic goals for managing and maintaining systems and software
  • Identifies gaps in technology and business process standards and resolve them
  • Determines the proper technical architecture for proposed solutions
  • Continuously expands knowledge on current and new technical solutions
  • Designs architectural solution that aligns with overall product vision
  • Leverages industry expertise to develop new system specifications, processes and technologies
  • Designs architectural solution that aligns with overall product vision
  • Develops systems interfaces and business application prototypes
  • Demonstrates Business Acumen: Demonstrates working knowledge of market, economic, legal and regulatory environments and how they impact the business.
  • Partner with business and technology subject experts to translate business requirements into technological solutions.
  • Document varying levels of architecture, strategy, guidelines, and principles
  • Coordinate, review and approve projects to ensure that they are compliant with architectural standards, policies, and guidelines.
  • Present to stakeholders on how architectural options will meet their needs.
  • Monitor and analyze industry, technology, and market trends to determine their potential impact or application for the organization.
  • Participate in ERP strategy decisions and provide ERP consulting within IT teams.
  • Help business leaders and their teams think through the technology, business, and operational implications of their technology investment decisions.
  • Conduct research and Proofs of Concept on emerging technologies in support of anticipated development efforts and recommend technologies that will increase cost effectiveness and infrastructure flexibility.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENT

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.





    • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field; master's degree preferred
    • Twelve (12) + years hands-on experience working as a Technology/Application/Solution Architect implementing medium to large scale initiatives
    • Three (3) or more years of experience in architecting and deploying software solutions in Microsoft Azure or Amazon AWS and supporting cloud solutions or similar virtualized environments.
    • Proven experience in architectural: Design and analyze the current and future state architectural designs, provide the best practices, recommendations and related value propositions
    • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with stakeholders to ensure the architecture meets business needs and IT requirements.
    • Package Selection & Technology Assessment: Maintain a thorough understanding of emerging technologies, trends, and techniques, and assess their relevance to the organization
    • Be a role model to internal and external teams via facilitation and creation of architecture documents and artifacts
    • Support the risk management process by identifying and assessing potential risks associated with IT investments and recommending mitigation strategies
    • Experience implementing and maintaining SAP ERP systems, including interfacing with other SaaS and PaaS services/providers.
    • Experience with cloud-based security, networking, and storage.
    • Experience with operational optimization of cloud environments, including data replication, disaster recovery, logging, monitoring, and performance improvement.
    • Experience in IT architecture, solution design, integration patterns and system implementation models
    • Excellent verbal and written communications skills

Pay Range: $140,625-190k
