Job Summary
The Assistant Director, Student Experience, is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to engage and cultivate graduate-level student experience. This role plays a critical part in fostering a sense of community and loyalty
Minimum Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in related field and three plus years relevant professional experience; or any equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 4 years of experience in student experience, project management, event planning, or a related field.
  • Ability to analyze data and generate insights to help devise strategies to enhance student experience.
  • Data analysis skills and proficiency with excel and CRM systems
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Experience with event planning and volunteer management.
  • Ability to travel and work evenings/weekends as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibilities

  • In collaboration with JSOM faculty and staff, implement programs to strategically engage the graduate students in the Jindal School in impactful ways.
  • Create, implement, and manage programming and marketing/communications to meaningfully engage partners to implement academic and non-academic programs to cultivate student experience.
  • Lead the planning and management of JSOM events that include prospects, current students, and alumni.
  • Spearhead the peer student mentoring, industry and alumni mentoring programs for current students.
  • Oversee tabling events and work with Program Directors/Managers to enhance student engagement.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders like Development/Alumni Relations and industry partners as needed to establish/oversee student engagement programs.
  • Oversee community engagement programs that involves graduate students and alumni.
  • Manage and maintain all webpages related to the graduate student experience and JSOM Alumni
  • Oversee key graduate student events, including the signature alumni events, like the JSOM Reunion
  • Ensure accurate and complete alumni database records, capture contact, biographical, and career information.

Work Environment:

  • Office environment with occasional travel for alumni events and meetings.
  • Flexible work schedule, including some evenings and weekends.

Remote Work Notice
A hybrid remote work schedule may be available (currently 1-day remote weekly). Employee must be located within the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex area and have the ability to be on campus for work activities as scheduled and/or with 24-hour notice. Completion and approval of a UT Dallas Remote Work Agreement will be required upon employment, and use of personal computer, internet, and other standard equipment may be required. Remote work arrangements are subject to regular review and re-approval and may be canceled at any time.
