GENERAL SUMMARY:

The position focuses on developing non-deposit investment products business for the Bank within an assigned territory. The incumbent works with Bank personnel to generate appropriate referrals and acts as an advocate for clients by facilitating all of their financial dealings with the bank. The Investment Services Officer acts in the capacity of the clients' trusted financial advisor and provides the most ethical, ongoing, sound financial guidance through all stages of their life.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES, IN PRIORITY ORDER:



  1. Offers non-deposit products to Bank clients and prospects within an assigned territory.
  2. Develops referrals through Bank employees, existing clients and centers of influence. Maintains positive relationships with banking center staff and management within assigned territory.
  3. Provides comprehensive in-banking center training.
  4. Services existing book of business and conducts Financial Check-ups regularly.
  5. Participates in regional customer relationship teams to strengthen bank and customer connection through cross selling and providing quality customer service.
  6. Maintains the network of outside referral sources within assigned territory including individuals and organizations likely to refer clients who have investment needs.
  7. Monitors the performance of the clients' portfolio to ensure it is consistent with their asset allocation and investment objectives. Maintains consistent contact with clients so as to be aware of any changes in their investment objectives or ability to assume risk
  8. Promotes the broader mission of the bank as a trusted financial advisor and help all clients find appropriate advisory services based on their current financial situation.
  9. Works closely with operations to initiate and coordinate activities relative to opening, on-boarding, processing and administering Investment Services accounts
  10. Identifies, directs and coordinates the transfer and placement of funds, securities, and other assets into Investment Services accounts.
  11. Performs in the role of a trusted financial advisor by coordinating and developing strategies to effectively deal with all aspects of the clients' financial situation. This includes financial, retirement, tax and estate planning issues and involves working in conjunction with the clients' other advisors.
  12. Acts as an advocate for clients in order to facilitate their financial relationship with the Bank.
  13. Maintains updated client records within appropriate systems and operational procedures.
  14. Completes all necessary Continuing Education courses in a timely manner.
  15. Ensures that work is in compliance with applicable laws, regulations and guidelines, as detailed in the Bank and Osaic policies.
  16. Follow and adhere to all regulatory requirements including OFAC, BSA and SEC' Best Interest Rule.
  17. Participates in Bank relationship team meetings, regional meetings, and special projects including additional duties as required.
  18. Engages in civic activities to promote growth and development of the community and a positive image for the Bank.
  19. Communicates independently and effectively with Osaic, various bank offices and departments to better serve client requests.
  20. Supports team building efforts.
  21. When invited, participates in the Bank's strategic planning process.




      EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS:



      • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
      • All standard investment licenses required: Series 7, 63/65 or 66
      • Insurance and Annuities license
      • CFP professional designation desirable
      • Minimum of five years' experience in investment services with business development responsibilities


      KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:



      • Comprehensive knowledge of financial management and investments required.
      • Excellent sales skills including proven history of successfully attracting new clients.
      • Detailed knowledge of fiduciary and trust administration.
      • Strong computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. .
      • Entrepreneurial competencies.
      • Ability to work in a fast paced, evolving environment including the flexibility of working and generating new business virtually.
      • Must have cyber security awareness to protect the digital environment, the Bank, and customers

        PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

        External - Travel to banking centers within a territory will be required. Environmental conditions are regular office and branch locations of the Bank.
