JOB PURPOSE: The Outreach Coordinator will be responsible for recruitment of clients to the Customs and Border Protection Workforce Wellness Program (CBP WWP) through outreach to local CBP facilities and events. This includes developing relationships with local community partners to provide services to clients. The Outreach Coordinator will also participate in peer-to-peer communication, presentations, and other outreach mediums as needed. Recruitment will focus on reaching CBP employees and their family members, and spouses of fallen CBP agents to engage in services. The Outreach Coordinator will also oversee volunteers and interns to assist in achieving enrollment goals. Qualifications
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in public relations, marketing, business, or communication preferred. EXPERIENCE: 3+ years in, outreach and marketing activities and knowledge of social service delivery. Prior experience within the border patrol or law enforcement community and/or organizations. Business management, project management skills required. Outstanding organizational, interpersonal and communication skills. Outgoing, pleasant, professional manner; the ability to create and maintain contacts in the community; and clearly articulate mission and goals of the CBP WWP. ATTENDANCE: Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance at such level as is determined in the employer's sole discretion. Flexibility in hours required as needed for business purposes. LICENSES: Driver's License with clear record. VEHICLE: Must have daily use of a vehicle without prior notice. OTHER: Must be available and willing to travel to various locations and with such frequency as the business need dictates. Must not pose a direct threat or significant risk of substantial harm to the safety or health of himself/herself or others. Early morning, evenings, and weekends may be required for attending outreach and networking events.
