About the Team

The Analytics team in Banking Technology Development is dedicated to driving insights and value from our vast array of data assets. Our team collaborates across multiple business units, leveraging advanced analytics, data visualization, and effective data storytelling to support strategic decision-making and operational excellence.

Who we need

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Analyst to join our Analytics team. This role will be pivotal in harnessing data to provide actionable insights, supporting strategic initiatives, and driving business growth. The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical mindset, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and a proven track record of leveraging data to influence business outcomes.

What you will be doing

  • Transform and prepare new and existing data sets to be leveraged in analytical models.

  • Conduct complex data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights.

  • Utilize statistical techniques and advanced analytics to build predictive models and support strategic initiatives.

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams: product development, HR, development and finance.

  • Use data storytelling to present findings and recommendations to senior leadership and stakeholders.

  • Ensure data quality and integrity by implementing best practices for data governance, cleansing, and validation.

  • Collaborate with data engineering teams to optimize data pipelines and infrastructure.

What you Bring

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in data science, Statistics, Computer Science, or Economics.

  • 5 years of experience in data analysis, (experience in fintech, financial services, or technology is a bonus).

  • Experience with data visualization tools, statistical programming software. (Microsoft ecosystem is a bonus).

  • Expert level proficiency in SQL and experience with large-scale databases.

  • Experience in statistical modelling, predictive analytics, and data mining techniques.

  • Able to transform data to meet requirements for analytical models.

  • Knowledge of data governance and best practices for data management.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, ability to convey complex data insights to non-technical audiences.

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

FIS is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive compensation. The pay range for this full-time position is $84,720.00 - $142,320.00 and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Any changes in work location will also impact actual individual starting pay. Please consult with your recruiter about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
