The Special Programs Executive is an essential position to Presbyterian Health Plan. This position will oversee the strategy, expansion and implementation of special services and programs such as School-Based Health Centers, Centennial Home Visiting program and Community Health Workers initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree required. 3-5 years of relevant managed care experience including experience working with providers and state agencies.
  • Requires the ability to write and communicate effectively in person, via telephone, and in writing with the public, including members, agents, and employers.
  • Ability to use independent judgment and work with minimal supervision. Strong communication skills, analysis, critical thinking and creative solutioning. Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.


Responsibilities

  • Accountable for SBHC, & CHV & CHW program and strategic development, including execution of the strategic plan, program performance, and expansion of services for School-Based Health Centers, Centennial Home Visiting program and Community Health Workers
  • Develops new monitoring, provides oversight, and reporting strategy to support the success of the School-Based Health Centers, Centennial Home Visiting program and Community Health Workers performance.
  • Partners closely with existing SBHCs and continues to build partnerships with the New Mexico Human Services Department(HSD) / Medical Assistance Division (MAD), New Mexico Department of Health (DOH), Office of School and Adolescent Health (OSAH), school districts, SBHC sponsors, providers, Indian Health Services, and other key stakeholders
  • Represents Presbyterian at state agency, community meetings and other external facing engagements relating to the School-Based Health Centers, Centennial Home Visiting program and Community Health Workers programs.
  • Conducts external consulting and educational support, including presentations, to clients/stakeholders regarding contract terms and provision of services for School-Based Health Centers, Centennial Home Visiting program and Community Health Workers programs.
  • Leads the development of and maintains our comprehensive School-Based Health Centers, Centennial Home Visiting program and Community Health Workers strategic plans, including internal and external key stakeholder input
  • Serves as PHPs primary point of contact for School-Based Health Centers, Centennial Home Visiting program and Community Health Workers and HSD/MAD
  • Plans and facilitates the SBHC governance and oversight steering committee (internal) and Joint Operating Committees with SBHCs
  • Partners with Provider Network Strategy to conduct Access and Services analysis to identify areas of opportunity to expand the number and distribution of SBHCs in targeted areas to support the health of our members, including the recruitment of providers
  • Develops School-Based Health Centers, Centennial Home Visiting program and Community Health Workers specific competency-based training and programs for internal and external clients
  • Serves as the School-Based Health Centers, Centennial Home Visiting program and Community Health Workers staff trainer for our internal teams including Member Services, Care Coordination, Provider Network Development, and Utilization Management
