The Opportunity Multiscale Advection Diffusion Analysis Laboratory (MADAL) is seeking candidates for a Postdoctoral Research Scholar position in the area of thermos-fluids modeling based on the Boltzmann equation. This position will directly support a funded project that develops a finite volume discrete Boltzmann model for the thermos-fluids transport phenomena in porous media. Core responsibilities include:
About the Lab: MADAL, led by Prof. Leitao Chen in the Mechanical Engineering department at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University specializes in the development and application of computational models for thermo-fluids transport processes that feature multi-scale and multi-physics phenomena for a wide range of applications, including energy systems (including renewables), thermal management, oil and gas recovery, plasma physics, and biofluids.
