US ALM Risk Manager, RBC Capital Markets, LLC, Los Angeles, CA:

Provide support to the Lead, ALM Risk Management on matters pertaining to the oversight of the Asset Liability Management (ALM) profile and management of Combined U.S. Operations entities. Independently conduct moderately complex routine operations, resolutions, and maintenance support activities and respond to moderately complex functional queries. Utilize the Bank's banking book market risk measurement platforms to support risk analytics. Quantify the impacts from model and parameter assumptions (quantitative and qualitative) employed within the banking book market risk framework, including deposit duration models, retail pricing models, and loan prepayment models. Analyze data and prepare reports of observations and recommendations based on findings, including additional sensitivity measures and stress testing, with consistent aggregation and integration across business lines, legal entities, etc., and other emerging risk exposures. Ensure risk reporting is timely and accurate and changes in risk are properly investigated and understood. Execute on approved strategy and assist in the development of strategies and action plans to address technical and competency gaps within oversight of ALM. Ensure a strong control environment by aligning data management, methodology and quantitative models. Monitor activities and exposures to ensure adherence to approved policies and limits. Adhere to operating policies and procedures and regulatory guidelines and make recommendations within scope of ALM and/or provide input into policy and procedure amendments.

Telecommuting permitted up to 40%

Full time employment, Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week, $190,000.00 per year.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Mathematical Finance, Statistics or a related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience.

Must have 5 years of experience in:

  • Moderate Asset Liability Management
  • ALM and interest rate risk management at a financial institution;
  • US Bank regulations for liquidity, capital, and interest rate risk management; and,
  • Operational processes, financial products, credit and risk management activities in the financial services industry.

Must have 3 years of experience in:

  • Model Risk Development and Review
  • Enterprise Risk Management

Must have 2 years of experience in the financial services sector.

Must have 1 year of experience in Basic Funds Transfer Pricing.

Telecommuting permitted up to 40%

The base salary for this job is $190,000.00 per year. This salary does not include other elements of total compensation, including a discretionary bonus and benefits such as a 401(k) program with company-matching contributions; health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance; and paid time-off plan.
