Responsible for managing all the technical activities in one or more defined specialty area(s) of the Medical Center's imaging department to ensure the efficient provision of effective and efficient imaging services.
- Ensures the effectiveness of the technical imaging service.
- Ensures efficient use of Medical Center resources.
- Develops programs which address quality improvement safety systems enhancement and streamlining of work.
- Ensures Optimal Customer Service.
- Works with other counterparts within department and Medical Center for overall organizational improvement.
- Develops operating policies and procedures (protocols) in conjunction with the Administrator and Medical Director.
- Coordinates on-going training and continuing education programs for staff and students.
- In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.
Position Compensation Range: $39.76 - $63.62 Hourly
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education: * Experienced candidate(s) should have completed training/competency via the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Neuroradiology experience preferred. * Inexperienced candidate(s) at a minimum, must be certified in Radiography, Nuclear Medicine, Radiation Therapy, Sonography, or Vascular Sonography. * Associate's Degree preferred, but not required. Experience: MRI experience preferred but not required. Licensure: * Experienced candidate(s) must be registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT). * Inexperienced candidate(s) must be registered in X-Ray, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, or Radiation Therapy by one or more of the following agencies: "ARRT - The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists; ARDMS - The American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers, or NMTCB - The Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board." * American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider BLS certification required. This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
