The Department of Public Health Sciences at the University of Virginia is seeking candidates for staff Biostatistician. The Biostatistician will work and collaborate with faculty and members in the Department of Public Health Sciences in the Division of Translational Research and Applied Statistics, as well as other investigators in the UVA School of Medicine, on multiple clinical and basic science research projects. They conduct programming assignments, write and review code, maintain and modify programs, and test and document modifications. They also analyze program performance, and take action if needed, consults with departmental users, collaborates on and supports research projects, providing study specific status reports, and research publication and grant proposal support. Specific duties include the following:
