As a Business Unit (School of Nursing) Web Developer, you will create custom programs and web code of moderate complexity to enhance the appeal, utility, and functionality of websites. You will design both standalone and database-linked web interfaces to make data and applications web-accessible. By integrating third-party applications into web platforms through custom coding and APIs, you will utilize advanced technical skills to address complex integrations and CMS tasks. You will exercise autonomy in solving routine problems and determining solution strategies, working independently on daily tasks.
Additionally, you will provide training, support, and guidance to stakeholders to execute work processes focused on content development and delivery, as well as policies (including accessibility and style conformance requirements). Your responsibilities will include designing mock-ups for websites, building frameworks for CMS content build-out, writing custom CSS styles and JavaScript code, manipulating graphics and images in Photoshop, and performing other technical tasks that drive a web marketing and content delivery portfolio. You will interact routinely with Information Systems team members, students, faculty, staff clients, and external vendors and service providers. By facilitating collaboration among constituencies, you will enable web technologies to actualize and integrate the School of Nursing and UVA Health Strategic Plans. Experience: A minimum of one year of relevant experience is required. In certain cases, substantial relevant experience may substitute for the degree requirement. Licensure: Not applicable. Physical Demands: The role is predominantly sedentary, with a significant amount of time spent working at a desktop computer.
