About the role:

As a Programmer Analyst, you'll help develop new fintech products that will change the way the world pays, banks and invests. This could involve working with bleeding edge technology while coding, implementing, maintaining and supporting software applications.

About the team:

FIS Commercial Loan Servicing (formerly ACBS) is a premier commercial lending and loan servicing solution that enables timely decision-making, reduces operating costs, improves data quality and delivers advanced analytics.

What you will be doing:

  • Works under general direction of middle or senior level management.
  • Manages and mentors a team of Programmers/Analysts.
  • Working with a team of Technical Leads, Technical Analysts, & Software Developers who will be designing, coding, testing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting applications in LANSA and Visual LANSA on an end-to-end, full life cycle basis.
  • Establishes operational objectives and work plans, and delegates assignments to subordinates. senior management reviews objectives to determine the success of operation.
  • Implements strategic policies when selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
  • Assist on team code reviews and provide feedback for improved efficiency.
  • Produce business requirements and technical detail design documents.
  • Make recommendations towards the development of new code or reuse of existing code.
  • Develop program logic for new applications or analyze and modify logic in existing applications.
  • Maintain, test, and integrate application components.
  • Ensure that system improvements are successfully implemented, and coding standards are followed.
  • Analyze requirements and translate business requirements into product designs and write technical specifications. Conduct planning, high and low-level analysis, and forecasting activities to plan projects and tasks.

What you will need:

  • 8+ years of experience in Software Development
  • Technical Skills Required: LANSA for iSeries; Visual LANSA; ACBS; SQL; AS400, iSeries
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience working with clients
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field of study or equivalent work experience
  • Knowledge of modern, end-to-end systems development life cycles.
  • Proficiency in business modeling and requirements definition disciplines.
  • A bachelor's in computer science or information systems or equivalent experience.

Added bonus if you have:

  • Experience and understanding of Agile principles and practices, including Scrum, Kanban, and Lean.
  • Experience with ETL tools or data conversion

FIS is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive compensation. The pay range for this full-time position is $94,560.00 - $158,870.00 and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Any changes in work location will also impact actual individual starting pay. Please consult with your recruiter about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
