- Day-to-day execution of digital marketing efforts that elevate The Salvation Army brand and support its mission throughout the Western Division.
- Regular maintenance and updating of Western Division websites, with a special focus on those pertaining to our Omaha-Council Bluffs metro operations.
- Coordination/execution of graphic design projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serve as The Salvation Army Western Division's lead graphic designer, handling graphic design requests from operating units both in Omaha and around our three-state region.
- Manage the Divisional website and corresponding corps (field office) websites, Omaha-Council Bluffs metro operations sites, and other related sites; there are over 40 sites in all. Update frequently, integrate campaign images, and review and respond to inquiries.
- Handle and oversee day-to-day requests related to website updates. Write copy and create navigational links as needed. Work directly with all departments to ensure information is current and accurate.
- Drive the Division's digital marketing efforts/campaigns across multiple channels and support the the Senior Director of Marketing & Communications in planning those efforts.
- Create custom donation pages through the Classy online donation platform and track pertinent data.
- Create custom registration pages through Classy to support event sign-up efforts and track pertinent data.
- Develop engaging content that attracts visitors to websites and social media platforms.
- Support the Division's digital campaigns and serve as a resource to all operating units that use Classy.
- Oversee project work from outside vendors as well as manage digital projects, including building online promotions.
- Promote digital initiatives as required by The Salvation Army at large.
- Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud would be a plus.
- Analyze data pertaining to Classy donation pages.
- Thorough understanding of search engine optimization and ways to improve site rankings would be a plus.
- Driving is an essential role of this position.

Duties and Responsibilities Specific to Graphic Design
- Design creative, professional printed promotional materials to support Development Department initiatives (including brochures, invitations, postcards, save-the-date cards, etc.)
- Create promotional materials for the marketing of Development Department events-including, but not limited to, D.J.'s Hero Awards, Tree of Lights Campaign, etc.
- Work with outside vendors and collaborate with the Senior Director of Marketing & Communications on local advertising efforts.
- Respond to graphic design requests from programs, departments, or field units.
- Work with local printing companies to help oversee the printing of large-scale print-collateral projects and to ensure the quality thereof.
Supervisory Responsibilities: N/A Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree in graphic design, digital marketing/internet marketing, communications, journalism, PR or equivalent required-plus, two to three years of related experience preferred. Experience with using AP style required. Qualifications: The requirements listed below are representative of the minimal knowledge, skill, and/or ability required for this position.
- Ability to be flexible and able to work on multiple projects or tasks simultaneously.
- Advanced skills across the digital marketing/communications space, including web content management systems, and online donation platforms; plus, outstanding abilities in interactive design applications from Adobe Creative Suite/Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign. Outstanding abilities in Microsoft Office with a special focus on PowerPoint. Intermediate or better knowledge of HTML would be a plus, as well.
- The ability to access payroll, timekeeping and personal data via a web-based system.
- Administrative skills to include utilization of standard office equipment, data entry, 10-key, attention to details and filing.
- Good communication skills both written and spoken, and ability to maintain effective working relationships.
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential matters.
Other Qualifications: Must pass all applicable background checks. Must possess a valid driver's license from the state in which you reside. Must be approved through The Salvation Army Fleet Safety Program to drive either a Salvation Army or personal vehicle on Salvation Army business.
