Master Software Engineer, RBC Capital Markets, LLC, Minneapolis, MN:

Responsible to set technical direction for all development, maintenance, and architecture initiatives with the Salesforce platform ensuring adherence to overall IT architectural direction. Consult on technical and management direction for strategic projects within the Advisor Desktop (Salesforce) with a focus on the cross-divisional strategies. Function as in-house consultant/expert for resolution of complex technical issues. Research emerging trends and best practices and determine implications of proposed solutions on meeting business unit strategy. Develop feasibility studies and proposals for senior management and executive decisions on large complex projects. Together with the Project Manager, determine the best mix of development, interfacing applications, and third-party vendor solutions to meet business requirements and project objectives. Develop measures and monitor ongoing effectiveness of IT services for assigned business line(s). Contribute to successful project completion by identifying risks and developing and recommending mitigation strategies. Develop criteria to evaluate third-party vendors and software, as well as due diligence exercises. Act as a key contributor in the creation of technical strategy for applications within RBC IT with the architecture group. Identify technical and business opportunities to take advantage of cross project knowledge, best practices, and reusability to expedite projects. Manage all aspects of testing and verification ensuring that all tasks are performed for all interfaces. Ensure adequate technical documentation and training. Manage all aspects of implementation planning and coordination. Develop detailed plans and accurate estimates for the design, build, implement, and stabilize phases of the project. Perform database/disaster recovery planning for multiple systems. Conduct performance tuning to improve performance across multiple systems. Act as primary IT liaison with multiple interfacing applications, third-party vendors, IT Executives, and/or Project Managers.

Telecommuting permitted up to 100% from anywhere in the US.

Full time employment, Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Must have a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Management Information Systems, Technology Management, or related field, and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate related work experience.

Must have 5 years of experience in:

  • Salesforce Development;
  • Salesforce Apex Development;
  • Integration Tool Experience;
  • Salesforce Deployment Experience;
  • Top-down, structured analysis, or component-based design techniques;
  • Apex;
  • Visualforce;
  • Java, Javascript, C#, PHP, Objective-C, Python, and Ruby; and,
  • Changesets, Ant, and Jenkins.

Must have 4 years of experience in Salesforce Lightning Web Component Development.

Must have 2 years of experience in:

  • Mulesoft; and,
  • IIB, MQSeries, WXF, XML, and .Net.

Certification: Must have Salesforce Certified Admin and Salesforce Certified Platform Developer 1 certifications; or, Salesforce Certified Application Architect.
