Description

The Sanitation Associate is responsible for effectively performing all the required duties of the position in an accurate, thorough, and safe manner while following procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment in order to prevent damage to equipment and machinery.



  • Prepare equipment for production associates.
  • Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilating, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Mix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications.
  • Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors.
  • Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, in order to prevent damage to equipment and machinery.
  • Monitor building security and safety by performing such tasks as locking doors after operating hours and checking equipment to ensure that hazards are not created.
  • Service, clean, and supply restrooms and locker rooms.
  • Move heavy objects, equipment, or supplies either manually or by using a hand truck.
  • Notify managers concerning the need for repairs or additions to building operating systems.
  • De-assemble and re-assemble equipment for sanitation purposes.
  • Sanitize equipment using various chemicals and high-pressure washing units.
  • Maintain work area in a clean and sanitary manner.


Knowledge and Experience:



  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • Ability to legally work in the United States.
  • High School Diploma/GED is preferred.
  • 1-2 years of related work experience is preferred.


Working Conditions:



  • Must be able to stand for 8-9 hours per day.
  • Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, and squat as needed for housekeeping
    responsibilities and other miscellaneous duties.
  • Must be able to work in temperatures of 40 degrees or less.
  • Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to work 40 or more hours per week.
  • Must be able to work mandatory overtime if necessary.
    Must be flexible and able to work as needed.
