Casework Supervisor Casework Supervisors will maintain continuous case management through caseworker referral support and engage in daily activities to provide real-time updates on casework status to Cherokee leadership and Health & Hospitals' HERRC program leadership. Casework Supervisors will provide and oversee on-site and remote casework services to ensure compliance and quality of services. Responsible to manage daily casework activities, assign caseloads, designate work schedules, provide training, and support casework staff. Compensation & Benefits:
- Estimated Starting Salary Range for Casework Supervisor: $72 - $75K
- Pay commensurate with experience.

Casework Supervisor Responsibilities Include:
- Maintain constant awareness of case statuses and engage in daily activities to provide real-time updates on casework status to Cherokee leadership and Health & Hospitals' HERRC program leadership.
- Support casework staff to help asylum seekers transition out of the city's supportive housing and resettlement services.
- Supervise casework daily activities and performance.
- Ensure data and information is completed in the NYC Health & Hospitals case management platform.
- Designate caseloads.
- Assign work schedules.
- Conduct performance evaluations.
- Conduct caseload assignments.
- Review and approve assessments, service plans and case notes.
- Ensure daily case management coverage and monitor attendance.
- Help coordinating interpretation and translation services.
- Provide on the job training and ongoing training.
- Recommend procedural / process improvement changes as required to improve upon the delivery of services.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Casework Supervisor Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:
- Bachelor's degree.
- Minimum 4 years demonstrated social services experience in case management:
- 2 years experience supporting refugee, asylum or migrants related to immigration and resettlement
- 2 years in supervisor role in delivery of culturally sensitive and trauma informed services
- Must possess strong organizational and leadership skills and ability to manage a team.
- Comprehensive understanding of trauma and how it manifests, as well as experience delivering trauma-informed, culturally sensitive services.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to learn quickly and problem-solve under pressure and within prescribed timelines.
- Must possess knowledge of immigration laws and procedures.
- Preferred; Master's degree in social work or other human services field + two years of relevant experience working with people who enter the U.S. seeking asylum.
- Fluent in English and Spanish, 2+ years of experience supervising casework staff in the delivery of culturally sensitive, trauma-informed services desired.
- Solid understanding of immigration laws, regulations, procedures, and benefits/entitlements.
- Supervisory experience
- Experience conducting performance evaluations.
- Experience with the utilization of date to track and assess case progress.
- Spanish/English bilingual fluency required.
- Must be organized as well as, have excellent verbal, written and communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with families, collaborating agencies, and community professionals.
- Strong customer service background
- Able to effectively manage significant documentation.
- A self-starter, able to work with minimal supervision and work independently.
- Able to prioritize and be accountable for timeliness to complete projects in a timely manner.
- Possess sensitivity to the service population's cultural and socio-economic characteristics.
- Ability to organize, multitask and prioritize duties and responsibilities efficiently.
- Past applicable job experience may include, but is not limited to: Case Manager Supervisor, Social Services Supervisor, or Client Services Supervisor
