Job Designation
The Stockroom Clerk 1 will follow well-defined procedures and with normal supervision: check incoming material against accompanying documents to determine completeness and accuracy; enter transactions into computer system; kit and issue materials for Assembly; fill backorders; use digital weigh-count scale; perform cycle counts and physical inventories as assigned and keep stock and stockroom neat and orderly. Requires basic knowledge of stockroom procedures and inventory transactions.
Job Core Responsibilities
* Maintains inventory accuracy through careful counting and transaction processing.
* Counts and verifies incoming materials and assemblies.
* Issues materials and assembly kits as requested by Planning and Assembly.
* Researches and resolves inventory record discrepancies.
* Performs cycle counts and physical inventories and completes cycle count functions
* Follows company requirements for safety and PPE. Maintains a clean and organized area.
* Licensed as a forklift operator.
* Uses company van for pick-ups and deliveries.
* Performs other tasks as assigned.
Job Specifications
Education: A Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma or GED required.
Certifications: Vocational training, apprenticeships or the equivalent experience in related field
Years Experience: 1 year of relevant experience
Skills:
* Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
* Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization.
* Ability to communicate in English.
* Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
* Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
* Job mostly requires basic math skills. Occasional need to calculate percentages.
* Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
* Ability to prioritize and respond to multiple activities. Ability to produce accurate results and complete tasks on time.
* Must be able to work effectively with co-workers, customers and others by sharing ideas in a constructive and positive manner; listening to and objectively considering ideas and suggestions from others; keeping commitments; keeping others informed of work progress, timetables and issues; addressing problems and issues constructively to find mutually acceptable and practical business solutions; addressing others by name, title or other respectful identifier and; respecting the diversity of our work force in actions words and deeds.
* Will be required to interface and relate well with all employees and multiple departments and levels within the Company.
* Position requires strong teamwork/cooperative abilities, as well as the ability to work independently.
* Computer terminal, calculator, telephone, copier, digital counting scale, counterbalance scale, forklift, company van, pallet jack, ladders, banding and wrapping equipment and some hand and power tools.
* Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Suites (Word, Excel, Outlook)
* Please note that the salary range information is only applicable for California. Compensation is based on a variety of factors, candidate experience, qualifications, location as well as market and business considerations. Pay Range: $17.88/hour- $26.83/hour
