Job Summary
Most work will occur in the field under typical (hot and humid) Alabama conditions; some laboratory work is also expected
Essential Functions

  • Traveling to field sites around Alabama
  • Assist w/native bee field work including setting up insect traps & sweep netting
  • Processing insect specimens for pinning
  • Assisting w/ outreach events
  • Collecting/Entering data into spreadsheets
  • Assist w/beekeeping tasks such as hive management
  • Honeybee box building & maintenance
  • Research related tasks
  • Assist w/outreach events
  • Collecting/Entering data into spreadsheets

Minimum Qualifications

  • Enrolled student at Auburn University
  • Interest in Entomology or related discipline
  • Valid U.S. Driver's License
  • Ability to work outside for long periods
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications
Experience in insect collection, beehives, bee collecting and data entry
Pay Rate $11.00/hour
Work Hours 20
