This is a twelve (12) week paid internship program beginning May 2025. You must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program with an expected graduation date in Fall 2025 or Spring 2026. Location Houston Summary: We are seeking a motivated, dynamic, personable, and professional Engineering Intern for our summer program to join our team! Position Summary We are looking for motivated, dynamic, personable, and professional Environmental Permitting Interns for our summer program to join our team! The main objective for each intern is to become familiar with the assets in our energy portfolio, gaining experience in the requirements of air permitting or gaining experience in the protection, conservation, and mitigation of aquatic resources, protected species, and cultural resources for a wide range of natural gas and liquids pipeline and facility projects. Responsibilities may include preliminary pipeline routing and facility siting; interaction with state and federal agencies, project management staff, and other environmental permitting staff; permit application preparation and tracking experience; and field visits to proposed projects or construction sites. Required Education, Skills & Abilities To perform this job successfully, individuals must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements include: Enrollment in an undergraduate degree program majoring in Ecology, Biology, Wildlife Management, Forestry, Rangeland Ecology, Fisheries, Environmental Studies, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering or an equivalent discipline and a minimum completion of Sophomore level engineering courses Self-motivated individuals with involvement in activities outside college studies Must possess a strong willingness to learn An above average GPA Preferred Qualifications Proficiency with MS Office Willing to travel Ability to organize, perform and prioritize various functions in a fast-paced environment Excellent attention to details Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to adapt well to rapidly changing priorities and responsibilities Ability to work as a team player effectively with a diverse workforce and with various levels within the organization An equal opportunity employer/disability/vet |
