Job Description

To provide technical and administrative assistance to the Director of Engineering Services and to assist the Director of Engineering Services in the operational aspect of the Engineering Department.



Responsibilities

    Assist the Director of Engineering of the property's preventative maintenance programs, repairs, projects and capital improvements including keeping logs on work done, scheduling and assigning projects and other related tasks.
  • Assist the Director of Engineering in the procurement of supplies and the issuing purchase orders.
  • Review work orders and assign work by priorities.
  • Maintain up-to-date inventories of parts, supplies, materials and tools.
  • Work with the Engineering staff and coordinate their activities.
  • Assume the full responsibility for the Engineering Department in the absence of the Director of Engineering.
  • Have a thorough understanding of Omni's fire alarm procedures and emergency evacuation.
  • Have a thorough understanding of Omni's standards and SOP's.Must be familiar with Omni's operating systems.
  • Administer, assign, and update status of PM program for all mechanical equipment, laundry, kitchens, boiler room, refrigeration, pool equipment and HVAC.
  • Administer, assign, and update status of PM program for guestroom (PRP and CARE).Support engineering staff when necessary.
  • Enter time edits in Kronos.Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions; complete safety training and certifications.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures; ensure clean uniform and professional personal appearance; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others; support team to reach common goals; listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees.
  • Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards; identify, recommend, develop, and implement new ways to increase organizational efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and/or cost-savings.


Qualifications

    • Degree in building maintenance, construction, engineering, mechanics, or related field is preferred.
    • Minimum 5 years' experience in the leading and managing engineering Team.
    • Certification in HVAC, electrical or plumbing. Must obtain CPO and OSHA certifications upon hire.
    • Knowledgeable in safety use of power tools, general engineering tools and equipment, pool pumps and filtration systems.
    • Knowledgeable in ADA requirements, power, water and sewer distribution, blueprints, fire codes and fire protection/suppression systems.
    • Demonstrates excellent leadership, organizational and communication skills.
    • Must be available to work flexible hours to include nights, weekends, and holidays.
