Are you ready to play an integral role in the treatment and care of collegiate athletes? Henry Ford Health is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Athletic Trainer to support our student athletes at Lawrence Technological University in Southfield, Michigan. As a part of this vibrant community, you'll play a crucial role in shaping the health, performance, and success of the Blue Devil student-athletes.

About Lawrence Tech:

Lawrence Technological University (LTU), established in 1932, is located in Southfield, Michigan. LTU is a member of the National Association of Inter-Collegiate Athletics (NAIA) and affiliated with the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC). With an enrollment of over 4,000 students, the Lawrence Tech Blue Devils fields 23 teams. The AT in this position will collaborate daily with the other LTU athletic trainers for their sport assignment(s). They will serve as a liaison for the LTU athletic department to Henry Ford Health. The athletic trainer will complete athletic training services at LTU; however, additional hours outside of the school for Henry Ford Health may be assigned.

What You'll Do:



  • Provide athletic training services to our athletes at Lawrence Tech. You will be the primary athletic trainer for one team as determined by the university, with opportunities to assist additional teams.
  • Be the liaison between Henry Ford Health and Lawrence Tech to help coordinate various appointments within the health system and seamless care.
  • Collaborate with assigned Henry Ford Health team physician(s) and various healthcare professionals to deliver integrated care.
  • Play a hands-on role in helping patients reach their peak performance by delivering individualized care for both injuries and overall health & wellness.
  • Educate on best practices for maintaining health and promote long-term wellness.
  • Expand your skills by offering services beyond the school, including assisting in physician clinics, community outreach, and engagement events.

What we're looking for:



  • Board of Certification (ATC) and Michigan state licensure (or eligibility to obtain before hire).
  • A post-professional master's degree in athletic training or related field is preferred, along with two years of experience (can be combination of education and experience).
  • Ability to work independently while thriving in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong decision-making skills and the ability to prioritize the delivery of services.
  • Knowledge and adherence to NCAA, NJCAA, and MHSAA policies, with a commitment to supporting community outreach programs.



Additional Skills or Certifications:



  • Additional certifications like CSCS, PES, FMS, CKTP, EMT are highly valued, though not required.
