Position Responsibilities
This individual is responsible for quality assurance and quality control in all phases of construction at a project site. Travel is a requirement of this position.
Provide on site inspection and documentation to ensure that all construction is completed in accordance with the design and quality control and/or assembly manual supplied by the manufacturer as well as IEA Field Quality Control Plan
Develop and implement software for material inventory tracking management. Software and implementation plan must comply with Owner's Specifications, meet IEA internal Quality assurance standards, and provide concise product placement records
Have the ability to deal on a daily bases with project management, engineers, concrete supplier and concrete testing labs, steel and turbine manufactures concerning various site issues, inconsistencies and nonconformances
Direct and train skilled labor in various procedures
Capable of reading and understanding shop drawings, mix designs, geotechnical reports, turbine suppliers manuals, and engineered drawings
Knowledge of reinforcement and concrete placement, product testing, civil construction processes
Liaison with Client, regulatory agencies, subcontractors, vendors, suppliers and/or internal departments on quality related matters
Manage quality technicians during construction
And various duties as assigned by the Director of Quality
Education
Bachelors Degree
Position Requirements
A college degree or equivalent work experience in construction management or quality control
Minimum of 2 years in construction or renewable energy, specifically solar energy
Must be authorized to work in the United States now and in the future
