The Golden Horseshoe Golf Club is seeking an experienced individual to join its agronomy team as Assistant Horticulturist.

Here is what you will be doing:



  • Helping the Horticultural staff oversee and participate in the daily completion of work assignments being done by fellow crew members.
  • Helping assist with field decisions regarding job procedures and work standards and machinery use.
  • Application of fertilizers and pesticides to turf and ornamental flower beds along with detailed record-keeping of treated areas
  • Routinely scouting for issues and problems as they occur: (i.e. disease, insect damage, irrigation needs, and weed infestation.)
  • Leads guides and directs employees in the maintenance of ornamental flower beds
  • Application of supplemental water as needed
  • Ability to interact professionally with cabin owners and fellow employees as well as vendors and suppliers


Qualifications we are looking for:



  • High school education required, college degree preferred.
  • 1 year golf course maintenance experience. Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated quality written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems; efficiently handle multiple duties under pressure with minimal supervision; work flexible hours as required including nights/weekends.
  • Positive attitude, professional manner and appearance in all situations.
