Job Summary

Serves as the primary point of contact with the institution for prospective digital learners considering online or hybrid degree programs and pathways. The primary focus of the Prospective Learner Coach work involves introducing prospective learners to program pathways that align with their goals, and supporting them as they navigate application, admissions, and enrollment processes for program offerings. The Prospective Learner Coach is responsible for a seamless and positive digital learner experience and for broad engagement with a diverse caseload of prospective FIU 2.0 learners.

  • Works directly with a designated prospective learner caseload from initial contact with the institution through to application, enrollment, and personal handoff to an FIU Online Success Coach or faculty advisor as appropriate.
  • Communicates with prospective learners through various communication channels including live call, chat, in-person meetings, text, and email.
  • Responds to inbound inquiries and initiates outbound communications with prospective students, providing comprehensive information regarding academic program options, admissions criteria, tuition, financial aid, and other relevant details.
  • Conducts individualized coaching sessions to understand each prospective learners unique goals and needs, facilitating informed decisions regarding educational pursuits.
  • Guides prospective students through the application process, including collection of required documents and completion of any additional steps or requirements.
  • Maintains regular communication with the pool of prospective students, encouraging continued engagement with the FIU community, discussions, and events.
  • Participates in online program recruitment events, webinars, virtual open houses, and information sessions to showcase online programs and engage with prospective learners.
  • Collaborates with designated academic unit representatives and FIU Online team members to coach and facilitate smooth transitions from inquiry through application, admission, matriculation, and enrollment.
  • Documents and maintains records of all interactions with prospective learners in Salesforce, tracks progress through the application and enrollment processes.
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and 3 years of relevant experience or a Master's degree and 2 years of relevant experience.

Desired Qualifications

  • Ability to complete Inside Track Coaching Certification within one year of hire.
  • Experience using a diverse range of technologies.
