Department of Education Sciences and Professional Programs Job Description
The Educational Psychology and School Psychology Programs in the Department of Education Sciences and Professional Programs at the University of Missouri - St. Louis (UMSL) is continuously seeking qualified candidates for adjunct faculty to teach graduate courses. The Educational Psychology Program at UMSL offers master's and PhD degrees with most of the courses being offered in online formats. The School Psychology Program at UMSL offers a National Association of School Psychologists-approved Educational Specialist (Ed.S.) degree. Positions vary by semester. Courses may include Child and Adolescent Development; Life-Span: Individual and Family Development; Advanced Studies in Child and Adolescent Development; Psychoeducational Differences, Consultation in Schools and Related Settings; and more. Adjunct instructors are needed to teach both asynchronously online and evening courses (typically 5:30-8:10pm) on UMSL's campus. Applicants should indicate their availability for in-person or online teaching in their materials. Adjuncts are appointed for summer (mid-May to early August), fall (mid-August to mid-December), and spring (mid-January to mid-May) semesters. Appointments are for each semester as needed and are term, non-benefit, non-tenure-accruing positions, with possibility for renewal.
