Essential Job Duties |
The Management Innovation and Entrepreneurship (
MIE) Department at the Poole College of Management at North Carolina State University is seeking two tenure-track Assistant Professors in the areas of strategy, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
The successful candidates will be expected to conduct high-impact research that produces publications in high-quality peer-reviewed journals, teach undergraduate and graduate courses in one or more of the following areas: corporate strategy, innovation, and entrepreneurship, and provide service to the department, college and university.
We are particularly interested in candidates with a willingness to work within and across one or more of these areas, the desire to develop and maintain productive relationships with students and colleagues, and the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and engage variety of audiences effectively.
These positions offer an exciting opportunity to contribute to the academic life of our department and college while shaping future leaders. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience. The appointment will begin on
August 16, 2025. Applicants should hold a Ph.D. by the start date. |

Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience |
- An earned Ph.D. in a relevant area is required.

- Qualified candidates should possess a strong record in research, teaching, and service, or have the potential to achieve the same.
- Demonstrate strong scholarly research capabilities consistent with a Research 1 university and an ability to teach at undergraduate and graduate levels.

- The ideal candidates will be able to work across one or more areas in the department such as strategy, corporate innovation, entrepreneurship, and/or sustainability.
