Apex is looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead our Roanoke office! This individual will be responsible for managing our team in the Roanoke office and help us grow our local presence.

• Act as the office lead for our growing Roanoke office.
• Manage a diverse portfolio of environmental projects.
• Write and review technical reports, specifications and proposals.
• Develop and manage scope, schedule and budget to ensure timely completion.
• Coordinate internal resources to assemble team to and execute project plans.
• Prepare and deliver marketing presentations.
• Hire and manage subcontractors when necessary.
• Manage, mentor and train scientific staff and ensure quality work product.
• Ensure safe performance of project work.
• Maintain ongoing positive relationships with current clients.
• Actively develop your own career growth.
• Actively source for new business opportunities.

• BA/BS in Environmental Science or related field.
• 10+ years of solid technical experience
• Project management experience including scope, schedule, and budget control.
• Professional license is a plus.
• Ability to manage and train staff.
• Proficiency with MS Office suite.
• Experience maintaining client relationships.
• Interest or experience marketing new clients.
• Excellent technical communication skills and strong attention to detail.
• Excellent safety record and understanding of safe work practices.
• Valid driver's license, good driving history and reliable transportation are required.
• Experience with Deltek VantagePoint or similar is a plus.
