JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Job Summary

  • Assist the staff of the Nanofabrication laboratory in various tasks related to the operation and maintenance of the facility.
  • Work up to 25 hours per week on a flexible schedule.
  • Gain valuable experience and skills in nanofabrication and materials research.

Job Duties

  • Perform Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD) on various substrates using the ALD tools.
  • Create recipes for processes on the ALD tools.
  • Assist with ALD related maintenance tasks such as pump changes and material changes.
  • Stock supplies and consumables for the laboratory, such as gloves, masks, wipes, chemicals, etc.
  • Wipe down tools and benches with appropriate cleaning agents to ensure a clean and safe environment.
  • Load and unload materials and samples for the staff and users of the laboratory.
  • Manage ALD related precursors and monitor gas levels and pressures.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the laboratory staff.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic knowledge of nanofabrication and materials science.
  • Ability to follow instructions and protocols.
  • Must be able to work in a cleanroom environment.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
