JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Penn State Behrend invites undergraduate students with an interest in research projects associated with viticulture and enology are encouraged to apply for an eight-week USDA-funded summer program.

Current programs include research into grape diseases, insects, grape vine physiology, and assessment of grape variety trials.

In addition to participation in field and laboratory-based research students will have the opportunity to work with local wineries in learning commercial aspects of the industry. Applicants are expected to be full-time undergraduate students in good academic standing.

Application materials required include:

  • Personal statement describing the student's career goals, interest in viticulture, and how participation in this program will enhance the student's education

  • C.V. (Curriculum Vitae)

  • Copy of unofficial college transcripts

  • Two letters of recommendation, one of which should be an academic reference.
