Description & Requirements
How you will contribute:
  • Lead, identify and support finance transformation projects and identify and implement opportunities for process optimization and automation
  • Provide independent perspective, based on market trends and conditions, with respect to finance and accounting organizations, challenges and best practices
  • Ability to conduct in-depth analysis of existing business processes to identify inefficiencies and bottlenecks.
  • Transform raw data into relevant insights via interactive and simple-to-understand dashboards utilizing Power Bi
  • Utilize your proven ability to drive and support go-to-market activities, while managing a portfolio of clients and delivering exceptional and relevant services to the market.
  • Recruit, train, develop, and guide a team of professionals to ensure their growth and success.
  • Take responsibility for all aspects of the project, including scoping, budgeting, executing project deliverables, communicating with the project team and clients, staffing requirements, job planning, and scheduling.
  • Foster strong relationships with client contacts and project team members to ensure successful project completion.
  • Demonstrate independent thinking skills by making decisions related to engagements, such as dynamic problem-solving, strategy development, risk assessment, and quality control.
  • Play a crucial role in practice leadership across the Performance & Process Improvement service vertical, contributing as a key member of the team.
  • Proactively identify business development opportunities and participate in client pursuits
We are looking for people who have Forward Vision and:
  • Exceptional verbal and written English communication abilities; adept at engaging with teams and senior management within the organization as well as with clients
  • Display a professional attitude in carrying out tasks and obligations, especially in terms of autonomy, ethical conduct, and the application of sound professional judgment
  • Punctual and dependable, with a proven track record of meeting deadlines consistently
  • Possess strong organizational, time management, and interpersonal capabilities
  • Proven skill in cultivating enduring partnerships with clients
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 11 years or more of experience with at least 3 years of recent client-facing experience in a professional services organization
  • 8 years or more of experience in project management and leading workstreams
  • BA or BS in Accounting
  • Thorough working knowledge of MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Proficient in utilizing/implementing Trintech Cadency/other R2R solutions or capable of quickly learning to new technology solutions.
  • Expertise in finance transformation, system implementation, and business process design/improvement initiatives, in the commercial products, technology & services, and/or insurance industries
  • Experience with CFO suite technologies and other systems used for Close Automation and Reporting
  • CPA Certification
  • Ability to travel, if needed
  • NYC based
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Accounting
  • Proven track record of business development targets achieved

New York City Pay Transparency
Pursuant to the pay transparency laws of New York State and other local ordinances within the state including (but not limited to) New York City, the salary range displayed is for the New York markets. The salary for this role will be based on the experience, education, and skill set of the individual for the position. Total compensation and benefits consist of salary, group health plan benefits, 401(K), profit-sharing contributions, flexible time off, and parental leave. Forvis Mazars reserves the right to make changes to the salary range based on business needs.
