NYU Grossman School of Medicine, an affiliate of Woodhull Medical Center, is seeking a full-time OB/GYN Generalist NYC Health + Hospitals/Woodhull is North Brooklyn's premier public hospital, serving the communities of Bushwick, Williamsburg, Greenpoint, Bedford-Stuyvesant, and Fort Greene. As part of the largest public health system in the United States, Woodhull is academically affiliated with NYU Grossman School of Medicine and is recognized by U.S. News & World Report among the Best Hospitals for Maternity Care. Woodhull serves a very diverse patient population and treats over 100,000 patients annually About the Department The Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at Woodhull is entering an exciting new era. Under new hospital and departmental leadership, the department is undergoing a $20 million renovation that will include a new Labor and Birthing Unit, state-of-the-art operating room suite, post-anesthesia care unit, and an alongside Birthing Center with hydrotherapy and expanded family support spaces. Clinical Scope The generalist will provide the full spectrum of OB/GYN care, including:
Academic & Teaching Responsibilities Faculty hold appointments through NYU Grossman School of Medicine. Physicians are expected to supervise and teach OB/GYN residents, medical students, and midwifery trainees, and are encouraged to participate in quality improvement, research, and health equity initiatives.
